This week we have celebrated lyceum's birthday. It was full of different events such as a concert, sport competitions, parents' lessons and tea - parties.
Aha - so your school has just turned six years old?
Hi Lyudmila and kids,It looks like it was a huge day of celebration at your school. It must have taken ages to blow up all of those balloons :) Our students return to school on Monday. I wonder how much they have grown over the Summer?
Quite right! Our school is six this year and students'parents have presented us a school bus on the birthday. Today is the last day of celebration - a sport competition "Father, mother and me". Several families will compete in their sport abilities. We have a lot of fun on this day.Sue , I am sure your students have grown enough and look forward to seeing you. Good luck and every success in a new school year!
Dear Friends,Happy 6th Birthday! The photos are beautiful. Tell us about the new bus! We're curious...What color is it? How many students can fit in it? Where will you go in it? Does it pick up and deliver kids from school? If so, how far away do the students live from school? Thanks for sharing!:-)Mrs. Yollis' classCalifornia
Dear Mrs. Yollis and class,Thank you very much for birthday wishes! :)As for a bus - we haven't seen it yet because it is in Krasnoyarsk and the weather is too bad. It is a bit dangerous to drive in such weather. They say the bus is yellow and 10 students can fit it. It will be used for delivering kids to olympiads, conferences and so on. Most of our students live not far from school and go to school on foot. Only few kids go to school by bus or by car. And what about you? How do you get to school? Do you have your school bus?P.S. We had a lot of fun and arguments watching your video "Sport Spirit Day".Best wishes,Lyudmila and class
The temperature is -40 again. We are sick and tired of this terrible weather. But I think kids are happy to miss the classes and stay at home :)
Dear Friend,You asked us about our bus. Yes, we have a neighborhood bus. Our bus has 20 seats, and the color of our bus is green and white. Only two people from our class go on the bus, and it goes to our middle school, then our school, and sometimes the high school. How many kids from your class go on the bus? How many people can fit in your bus including standing on the bus? From,Kate(Mrs.Yollis's class)
Dear Kate,Thank you very much for your answer! Your writing skills are perfect. :=)Our bus is not big, 11 students can fit it. Fortunatly, our students live not far from the school, they go to school on foot and our elementary, middle and high schools are in one building. We wonder if you celebrate Valentine's Day in your place? We will have a party this Friday.Your Russian friends
Dear Lyudmila,We had trouble leaving comments today because the kids couldn't find the "anonymous" ID at the bottom of the comment. None of the students have email, so anonymous is the ID they usually use.(Otherwise I have to use my email for each one.)Have the setting been changed recently? Thanks!Mrs. Yollis
Dear Mrs. Yollis,I've changed the setting :=). Sorry, I am not very experienced in blogging but I'd love to...Lyudmila
