The craft of poetry

Today we have got a lot of fun writing poems. Students were given several words and they had to create their poems in 5- 10 minutes. Although the poems were "nonsense" we had a lot of fun.
Here are some of them:

I took a photo of giraffe
Because I'd like a photograph.
And had a loud, loud laugh
Cause a giraffe was just a half.

I am a snake,
I have a toothache,
Because by mistake
I ate a cake.

I am eating banana
From Havana
And traveling by train
To sunny Spain!

I have a brain
But can't explain
Why does it rain?
