Awful weather

Our vacations are spoiled by frosty weather. It is about - 40C  every day. It will be - 47 on Monday,  how awful!!! I have to go to Krasnoyarsk with my daughter - to take part in the regional olympiad in English (she won the 1 place in our town among 11 grade students). How will I manage to "survive " in such a weather?!!

Wish us good luck! :)

Thanks for visiting our blog!

I cannot comprehend temperatures like that! Negative 40 degrees! It is never colder than about 10 degrees here in Winter and were currently in the mid 20's for summer, so our students are on their Summer Holidays.

I too can't comprehend how cold -47 would be! We are at the opposite end of the temperature scale to you here in Melbourne, Australia where it is summer and we are expecting 41C this coming Monday!

I will send you some warm thoughts on Monday while we are melting and you are freezing!

Kim :)

I hope you are surviving the freezing weather! We here in Australia have suffered through 43ºC for the last 3 days. Luckily we get a break from it tomorrow. I have added you to our Blogroll, and I'm sure we will enjoy following your adventures this year. Our new blog for 2010 is at http://mrlamshedsclass.org

Dear Lyudmila,

I hope things are warming up a bit for you! We have had unseasonably warm weather here in California. It is hard to imagine what you are enduring. We send you warm wishes!

Dear friends,

Thank you so much for your sympathy! :)
It was too cold when we were leaving for Krasnoyarsk, we can't see far than 15 metres because of frosty fog, but fortunatly, next day it was warmer. We had a hard day at the University. Students work the whole day from 10 to 6. They were tested in listenihg, reading, writing, use of grammar and speaking. The tasks were very difficult and tricky. My daughter didn't win and was a bit upset, but she got a great experience and met new friends.

Now we are back and very glad to read your comments. Thanks again!!!

All the best,
your Russian friends
